Big Pit National Coal Museum, Brecon tour and Penderyn whiskey tour

We will pick you up from your hotel or location of your choice in Cardiff. From here we will drive towards Big Pit National Coal Museum is an industrial heritage museum in Blaenavon. Here you can experience a unique underground tour of a real coal mine guided by a real miner, you will have the same experience as a working miner embarking on a journey down a 90mtr mine shaft. From here we will proceed north through scenic countryside to the Brecon beacons the landscape opens out to the magnificent upland scenery of the Brecon Beacons national park. Here you will have ample opportunities for photo shots at your leisure as we wind though the landscaped hills. From here we head back to end the tour. Please note if you wish to extend the tour or require extra hours (extra cost) please let the driver know as soon as possible to avoid disappointment on the day. Hotel Pick Up
We pick you up from your hotel or central Cardiff location.
Big Pit
A working coal mine from 1880 to 1980, it was opened to the public in 1983. The site is a World Heritage Site dedicated to operational preservation of the Welsh heritage of coal mining, which took place during the Industrial revolution. Big Pit is a real coal mine with underground tours with miner guides, be prepared to be lowered down 90 meters (300 feet) down the Big Pit mineshaft. From here we will proceed to Brecon.
Chepstow Castle
Chepstow Castle construction began in 1067 and is the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain. Located above cliffs on the River Wye, from here we will proceed to.
Brecon Beacons
Brecon Beacons National Park a scenic drive through the Brecons where you will have ample time to take your camera shots, if you fancy a strenuous mountain walk on a well-made foot path why not try Pen y Fan South Wales’ highest mountain, after a few stops for photographs.
Penderyn Whiskey
We will then proceed to Penderyn for a 1 hour whisky tour or if you wish just to visit the gift shop. Penderyn whiskey Tour not included with the price and will have to be purchased directly with the Penderyn Whiskey directly.
Hotel Drop Off
After this tour we will drop you to your Hotel or location of choice in Cardiff City centre.
